After Christmas

I try to not go in many stores during the Christmas Season that I know have super cute things because it makes me so angry to buy stuff and then later it goes on major sale. For the last few years, I have met some folks that I use to work with for breakfast than to hit an after Christmas sale at a really cute store. It is so funny to watch some of these folks (not the ladies I go with, but some of the other shoppers) because they are on a mission. I guess they scope out the store and have a plan. They run in and fill up their bags and then head to a corner to decide what they really want. Anyway, everything is really marked down (at least 50%)- here are my goodies from this year.

(not a good pic, but I am too lazy to take another- this is really sparkly which means gold glitter on everything)

now that we are going to have three kiddos, i feel the need to buy three of everything :)

Why we are old....

Ok, as you know, Rusty and I don't swap b-day presents, Christmas Presents or even celebrate Valentine's Day. Sometimes we end up buying an item for the house or just heading up to UK for a game. This year we showed how old we really are.....because we are super excited about getting a dishwasher. Good times! I have to say- love it. Our old dishwasher was loud and ugly. Here is a pic of the newest addition. Enjoy

Merry Christmas

Ophelia gave us some cute pjs for the kiddos (thanks Christine for ironing on their names because we know that I would never have gotten around to that)

Christmas started on the 23rd for us. We headed down to my brother's house for dinner. The kids had a great time (they always do at their house) and dinner was great! The 24th we had lunch with Rusty's side of the family (I would say probably 30 folks). His folks always take the family out for lunch and there are a lot of kiddos now. Then off for a quick nap and then to church for the 5:00 kid's service. It actually went pretty well. The four of us were in charge of lighting the advent wreath (1st time I have actually been asked to do that) and then Frances sang in the little people choir. Then there was a little kids lesson (Thomas actually went up and sat quietly with Frances), communion, and then my favorite part of the Christmas Service - the candlelight (it just is so pretty down at Peachtree with the candlelight and stain glass).

Christmas morning we started at our house (I managed to not get any pics except at my folks), went to my folks, back to our house to drop off stuff and play for a bit, out to Rusty's Aunt's house for lunch and then down to his folks. The kids did great and it is always nice to see as much family as possible.

Here are some pictures of the kids at their show at school. Unfortunately, I came down with a cold/the plague after a weekend trip to Kentucky so I missed the show. Here are some pics. From what I was told, Frances did a great job .......Thomas was showing his true colors (it appears the 2 year olds had to sit just a little bit too long on stage).

Like Mother...like daughter

Ok, I do have to take a little responsibility for Miss Frances and her fashion sense. There are many pictures of me when I was little in a pink bunny hat or walking around with earmuffs (summer or winter time). Awesome- thanks mom for letting me wear whatever....

Well this week the kids don't have school (we usually pick out clothes at night), but I just let her pick out what she wants. Yesterday she had a purple tutu, green capris, and a long sleeved shirt. Today- jean capris, rainbow t-shirt and turquoise long sleeved shirt under that (with Kentucky Socks). Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.......

A Little Bit of Everything......

This past weekend we headed to Mt Pisgah (the kid's school) for donuts with Santa. Most of them did well (can't really blame James for screaming since his mommy did the same thing when she was his age- i will find some photos for proof of that), here are my two and Christine's.

The kids love to dress up.....here are some pics of them dressing up (don't think Rusty would be thrilled if I posted the pic of T in red cowboy boots, fairy dress and pink visor :) .

I also have one lens for the camera that I don't use very much, but I love how the pictures look (it lets in more light) so I am going to have to stop being lazy and use it some. Just getting ready for Miss Hannah and all the pics I will take (since she won't be moving and I have some cute outfits for her and the other two will be in school). Peanut on the other hand is so obnoxious and basically trying to sit in lap at all times...can't wait to see how she is the next few weeks as Hannah gets closer.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a good turkey day. We started off the day going to lunch at Rusty's Aunt Anne and then went to my folks. The kids did really well. The really good thing is since they didn't nap on Thanksgiving, Friday they both napped (actually all 3 napped)- good times. Then back to Rusty's folks for his b-day. Luckily everyone is pretty close so we just house jump (and still get leftovers)! We then went out to dinner with my brother and his family on Saturday. Frances appears to love her cousin Paige. She sat next to her and stared the entire meal (yes miss chatty cathy sat quietly).

Hannah's Room

Hannah's Room is finally finished... here are some pics. Basically she was going to have mostly hand me downs, but mom found a great rug and then I found a really cute tree for the room (I should keep a count of how many times I have to say poor third kid).

The rug..love the colors

How many times do you think I am going to walk into the room and see Frances in the chair watching Hannah (the bathroom connects their rooms)?

Mom made these for Ansley and then when we switched out Frances' - Ansley's were switched out too so we were able to get her old curtains (a few posts below show her new purple room and curtains)

last yr vs this year's anniversary

Alright, this was last year's anniversary (no idea how you can put in a link so you can look at Nov last year)- Rusty had the same lady who made our wedding cake, make a cake for us (awesome) and we went out to dinner.

and this year....

I had the stomach bug. Nothing says happy anniversary like Rusty sleeping on the coach and eating expired noodles for dinner. Nice- good times!

....cause the Bible tells me so

Yep, I heard Thomas in the car use this as an excuse to why he did something and later Miss Frances said it. It appears my kids have decided that this is a valid excuse to do things......because the Bible tells them so. Really?

Weekly Update

Another crazy week and weekend (and I also need to mention a great job by my Horned Frogs).......

Saturday we (Christine and I - I guess you can say and the guys) had a couples babu shower for one of our friends (she is the reason we went to TCU)and her husband. They are expecting their first the same time Hannah will be here. A couple's shower is great- food for all, football and drinks for the guys (and the girls who were not preggers). We even had them open presents next to the tv so folks could still watch the game :).

Sunday Miss Frances sang at church. Here are some pictures. When the went to practice, she was shy and wasn't singing (you get the idea). Well when the church filled up, miss thing decided it was show time. She pranced down the aisle smiling at everyone and sang her song (she is really shy).

I also had to take a picture of the new turkeys that I bought. I couldn't resist :)

I didn't get any pics of her actually singing, these are all before church.

Misc Stuff

We have a busy weekend ahead of us parties, parties, parties (since when do you celebrate Halloween all weekend). I will be sure to take pics (especially since I have finally talked Thomas out of wanting to be a princess for Halloween).

Hannah's room is also done (not like she gets too much- poor 3rd kid). Pictures to follow.

I have just started to take some classes to learn how to use my camera and edit pics. Here is one of T (before haircut).
