How cute is my little man

I have to say Thomas does the cutest thing... When you talk to him he grabs your face. He likes to touch your face and it is so cute. He is such a sweet little guy. He also loves Frances. He was crying because I put him on a towel to change his diaper and he could not see Frances. He just squeals and laughs hysterically at her. I need to get it on video. When they ride in the car, his head is tilted because he just stares at her.

This weekend

We started off the weekend grilling out at the pool with Christine, Bob and Ansley. Thomas loves the pool. On Sat we went to another pool to hang with Jean Ann, Tucker, Whit, Boo and Wildcat. It is funny to watch Frances in the pool because she is so cautious. I mean this is the same child who likes to sit on her rail on her bed and stand on pretty much anything. Frances also was given her pillow from Boo and Aunt Jane. She loves it. Then on to trivia with Nick, Katie and Champ. Sunday we just hung out with Ansley while Christine and Bob went to the play. After, it was off to dinner with them and Rob. The guys helped the folks move some furniture and returned to Taco Mac for a drink. A great weekend and now a short week.. good stuff.

It was a battle, but I got a few pics w/a bow in her hair

Wow

I mean all I can say is really. As soon as we had to throw the second car seat in the car we realized we would not have much space in our cars so we traded them in for a mini van and a small suv. Anyway, all I can say is we now have two kids, a dog and a mini van. I think I may have fully transitioned to the other side now that I have the little Disney things to go on the antennae. Yes, you heard me right...I have different little figures for the different holidays.

I have to brag

I have to tell you what a good job Frances has been doing when we visit Aunt Mary. Mom has just moved our Great Aunt Mary down for Gainesville. It is great that we can go visit her a lot (I posted pictures a few posts ago). She is right next to Frances' school so I try to run by with Frances after school and on the weekends. Frances does such a good job! It is hard to talk to Aunt Mary because she can't hear and she is out of it sometimes, but I don't know what it is about Frances, but Aunt Mary perks up when she is there. Frances brings a toy with her and will play with the toy and Aunt Mary. She shares the toy with Aunt Mary, talks about the toy, and just plays with the toy. Yesterday, Aunt Mary was telling us that she had been walking around and was really chatting with Frances. It is fun to see them play together. Frances leaned over and gave Aunt Mary a hug. Aunt Mary was just smiling and said "What a sweet girl". Frances just chats it up with Aunt Mary and she just smiles back. One time I told Rusty I was going to see Aunt Mary (I was just going to run there w/out the kids)and Frances threw a fit that she wanted to see Aunt Mary. She always gives her a big hug when we leave...what a sweet kid.

Disney

Yep, we made it back. I must say the kids did really well on the trip down to Disney. Unfortuntely, Miss Frances quickly learned how to jump out of the pack n play on our stop down to Disney. Luckliy, she was pumped to sleep in a bed next to my mom (really we knew it was a matter of time and she already sleeps in a big girl bed at home, but it's nice to have her kind of confined when we go places-that is over now). I love staying in Fort Wilderness and am glad we stayed there again. We used to camp, but now we stay in the cabins (not really cabins- I wish I could say they were double-wides, but they are more like single-wides). It is a great place to stay and we were able to grill out each night. There is also a lot to do around Ft.Wilderness (a lot of the things the kids will be able to do in a few years...they have movies by the campfire at night, bikes to ride, and boats to ride/paddle.) We had a great time and were able to see a lot of Terri and Katherine. We even had dinner one night with Tom, Wendy and Paige since they were down there for Leanne's tourney. Bright and early we went to the Animal Kingdom on Friday (for most people it is bright and early, but T has us up around 5:30). The girls loved the animals. We went on the Safari and also walked around and saw a lot more animals. I can't wait until we go back next year.

The trip home did not go as well. We had not even made it to the highway and Miss Frances barfed. Awesome. We cleaned that up and then had to stop pretty soon after so I could feed Thomas and we could get gas. Needless to say, we left about an hour before everyone and were able to all meet for lunch. The rest of the trip was not too bad (I sat in the way back at this point to entertain T and grab the stuff that Frances "dropped").

It has been pretty busy for us. Two weekends ago, I was in Orlando and then last weekend we were in Austin. Rusty went golfing for Father's Day. It actually ended up being the longest golfing day ever. It appears that there were some old ladies up ahead that were very slow and no one wanted to tell them to move it along. He and Alex were also paired up with a very drunk guy so lots of good stories. It appears that this guy came to the course in a taxi (it was like a 10:00 tee time-wow). That night, Kelley was nice enough to hang with the kids so we could go watch Randall's band play. We headed down to Boo and Wildcat's for Father's Day dinner. Rusty's mom makes the best chocolate cake (Frances loves her Boo's food - it is slightly ridiculous how much she can eat). Anyway, the countdown is on for Disney....we leave Wednesday. We go every year and this year Aunt Margaret's group can't go, but my brother and his group will be down there the same time as us.

Frances finished bathroom-

More pics of T

Mom just moved Aunt Mary down near us (actually it is right next to Mt.Pisgah where Frances goes to school). It is great because we can drop in and visit a lot. Frances loves to play with Aunt Mary (she does a good job sharing her toys). She also likes to ride on Aunt Mary's walker (thanks Mom for teaching her that one). Aunt Mary also likes when Thomas grabs on to her fingers.

Jackpot

Ok, so I love Talbot Kids, but I don't get stuff from there unless it is on sale. I may have had a different attitude if I had two girls or two boys because their clothes are so well made, but I try to behave. Well- that was thrown out the window when Christine called me at work on Wednesday to tell me they were having a sale. The one over at NorthPoint is going out of business and so everything was 75% off. Jackpot! I got 14 items for like $90 (How crazy is that!) I bought some clothes for all the kids for this year and next. I also learned that the Cobb one will be closing in a few months so the fall items will be on sale. Watch out Talbot Kids!! Sadly, that was the highlight of the week. The kids have been pretty good and not too sick. Miss Frances did head off to Bible School with Aunt Christine on Monday and Wednesday and from what I hear, she was very entertaining. Also, on Sunday Frances did tell a boy to "sit on his bottom" when we were at dinner. Yep, bossy little thing, can't wait until she is a moody little teenager.

So I left the kids again...

After lots of doctor's appts this week, we headed off the Austin for our cousin's wedding. Big T had his big 4 month appt. We ended up leaving with three prescriptions and my doctor asked if we were attached to the dog. Are you kidding me? It appears that the little man is exactly like his daddy and allergic to life so we are back on the nebulizer again. He takes two different kinds in the morning so it takes about 20-25 minutes (he loves that)! Frances went for her two year and I brought Thomas back again to just make sure he was doing okay and that his lungs still sounded good. I stayed at my folks on Wed so that I could just leave in the early morning (to most it is early, but my alarm clock likes to wake me up before 5-awesome!).
Thursday we flew to Houston (thanks to Rusty's friend we flew business class- it is going to be tough to go back to coach) and then drove 3 hours to Austin (there was that much of a difference with tickets). Anyway, we had a fantastic time hanging with family and going to the wedding. And of course- we had a third trip to the doctor (Rusty had some sort of bite so we were off to the Urgent Care of Texas). We had been really concerned about the weather in Texas(the rehearsal dinner and wedding were outside). We had visions of just sweating the whole weekend, but Thursday it was windy and very pleasant and Friday the weather was great for the wedding too. The hottest part of our trip was walking the few miles back to our car at the airport in Atlanta then getting into our steaming hot car.

More pictures

Okay- I just can't stop taking pictures. We went over to Christine and Bob's pool on Saturday to swim and grill out. On Sunday, we just went to church and lunch with Dad. He then finished putting up the hardware in the bathroom. We met Boo, Wildcat, Jean Ann, Whit and Tucker up at Greenwoods for dinner.

I'm not doing anything wrong....

Florida Graduation

We headed down to Orlando on Thursday for Katherine's graduation (by we, I mean the folks, Christine and myself). It was my first night without Thomas. We drove down on Thursday and actually headed back Friday after we hung out at Terri's for a while. It's crazy that my second niece has already graduated high school. Here are some pictures from the graduation. I must say that her class (it was a pretty big one- I think it was over 700) did a very good job sitting through the graduation.
