a week without a visit to the emergency room (crazy- i know)

A pretty calm week for us. Once Frances calmed down from all the heavy meds and finally got some sleep things were a little better. Thomas is doing well too. We have decided that we are going to move the coffee table from the living room after a few close calls again (that is the reason he had to get a stitch). Here are some pictures from the week. I also just realized that I have no pictures of T. I will try to take some pics of all the kids since the bruises, etc are almost gone (knock on wood they will go away).

it is so nice that frances is so loved- she received a lot of thoughtful gifts this week. the church sent cupcakes and the crutchfields (christine's in laws)sent a fruit bouquet with a bear and balloon.

Thanks Hannah ("Rusty")

I wanted to say a big thank you to Miss Hannah (Rusty) for my ring. Frances set a good precedent for her siblings (she should have as many issues I had at her delivery)....anyway, she was here right around mother's day (can't really remember the timing - I was on a lot of medicine :) ) so I was told it was from Frances for my first Mother's Day. Frances gave me a diamond band and Thomas gave me some diamond earrings. I didn't think this would continue, but Hannah brought her momma another band (this one matched Frances', but is diamond and sapphire). I guess I have to have kids to get jewelery so I guess no more for me (yes, this is it- our house if full and we are now out of bedrooms). Thanks kiddos (and Rusty) !

fat girl can't fit the 3rd ring on yet..

The week in review

I think the biggest thing about these last few weeks is just not only did our family pass stuff around, just the different things that we had. Last week, Frances had an asthma attack and was on steroids (always fun) and pink eye, Thomas had an ear infection, and of course Miss Hannah was in the hospital with rsv. Also in the mix was colds for all. We thought we were in the clear for this week....not so much. Monday I had a follow up with Hannah at the doc and she is doing well, I brought Frances with me because she said her ear hurt, yep ear infection. Tuesday- nothing (wow that is a change). Wed I had to cancel my appt because T had to go to the emergency room in the am because he hit his head and had to get a stitch. Yep, Rusty was still at swim team, Frances was sleeping and I was changing Hannah. Dude man came running into the living room and hit the coffee table. He was crying a little and I was giving him a huge and realized there was blood all over the place. Luckily, it stopped quickly and Rusty was home about 10 minutes later. That afternoon I took Hannah back for another check up. Thursday was just a check up for me. Friday was T's 3 yr appt (little guy is now in the 25th percentile for both height and weight) and of course he has strep (parents of the year, we had no idea).

I am hoping to get some pictures of all the kids together this weekend.....we will see. I would say I need a drink after a few weeks like this, but it scares me to drink because what happens if we need to take a kid to the emergency room???
