Baby Presentation and misc.

Alright so the end of the season sales are going on right now... good times (I know tax free weekend is next week, but most of the good stuff will be gone by next weekend and the taxes aren't that much when the clothes are so cheap). I went to Old Navy and bought a bunch of things for next summer and the summer after (I love being able to shop at the girl and boy side). I also went to this great sale called the Children's Boutique Warehouse Sale. It is all of these cute smocked outfits for girls (I refuse to buy the girly stuff for Thomas) and other Bailey Boys outfits and many other expensive cutsie little store that I would normally never step foot in. Well they range from 40-70% off so I bought an Easter dress for Frances when she is 4 and a cute Bailey Boys outfit that is reversible (two for the price of one)!

Matthews, Kristen, Elizabeth and Cecilia are in town and Frances had a great time playing with her cousins. Cecilia is cute and scoots across the floor on her rear end. Elizabeth is about a year older so she is at a great age for Frances to look up to. She would watch what Elizabeth would do and then follow her lead. Poor Tucker doesn't have a chance with these wild ladies.

Sunday was Mr.Man's baby presentation. He did a really good job (I wish the same could have been said for the two year olds.

I also couldn't resist these cute pics of Thomas playing guitar with his dad. He loves the guitar!

What a day!

So I am sitting at home eating lunch with the kids (we have a table in a little area off our kitchen that has a bay window to the outside) and I look over and I see a baby deer get caught in the fence. Yes, you heard me right. It is really close to us. I am waiting for it's mama deer, but don't see it. I go outside (this thing is scared and flipping out and I have a fear that it's mama could come busting out at anytime to come get me) and try to back it up. Not so much. So I call 911. They call animal control. At this point, Frances turns her head and sees the deer. The deer is still trying to jump and I think one of it's back legs is hurt, but it is getting tired to it kind of lays down to rest. I turn my head and then hear it start screaming.... a dog was chewing on it ... really not making it up! Like I said, Frances is watching all of it (it happened too quickly for me to move her) so I go out to try to scare him away (I am on the inside of the fence and there isn't much I can do). The deer does get out and runs away. No idea how badly it is hurt and I don't know who the dog belongs to (no collar- if I see it again, I am calling animal control). Frances was flipping out and so I told her that it went away with it's mama. I mean if it didn't make it out, no idea what I would have done. Is 1:00 to early to start drinking?

Here we go again....

Alright, I guess more than a week off medicine was too much to ask. Both kids came down with a cold. I didn't like the way Thomas sounded so off to the doctor for his wheezing. He is now back on his daily maintenance medicine as well as another medicine for the wheezing. Frances ended up having to go to the emergency room because the first breathing treatment didn't work. Luckily my folks were here so off we went (Rusty is out of town). She had two shots of steroids and a hour and a half breathing treatment- so much fun. I gave the kid a lolly pop in the car because she was coughing so bad, having trouble breathing, but yet still talking in hopes to keep her quiet. Not a good plan, she still talked and coughed and ate the lolly pop. She was covered from head to toe with sticky red lolly pop. Anyway, both kids are on the nebulizer. Hopefully only one or two more nights of having to wake Frances up to give her treatments during the night.

I also need to mention that we need to keep Boo and the rest of her family in our prayers. Her brother passed away last week and so Rusty and the family are up at the service this week.

On a good note, we were eating dinner tonight and there was a momma deer and her baby in the backyard. We are close to the river so we do see deer a good amount.

Here are some kids back on the nebulizer. Please note that they do not always sit so nicely. I can't tell you how much fun it is at 1:30 at night to out your two year old's hand in her shirt (so we don't have her elbow pop out of place again) so you can bear hug her and then hold her legs down with your leg while using your head and all the strength you have (yep-your two year old is stronger than you) to keep her from pushing the fish mask away from her face.

Cross-eyed because we are looking at the fish

Asleep because we screamed so long we wore ourself out

Playing nicely together

Do you think we are teething?

The kids

I mean I know it is pretty shocking, but both of our kids talk a lot. Frances sings quite a bit and Thomas just screams. It is really awesome when we are out to dinner and Aunt Christine gets him worked up and he is just screaming because he is so excited. Sorry anyone near us, but it's tough to keep a 5 month old quiet who is being egged on by his Aunt.

Room Pics

Ok, we just got the cute pillow that Boo and Aunt Jane made for Thomas. I have attached some pictures of Thomas' and Frances' room as well as the pillows. They look so good in their rooms. Thanks again Boo and Aunt Jane.

Happy 4th

Happy 4th! We were going to head up to Lake Burton to hang with Christine, Bob, Ansley and the Crutchfields, but Thomas has been little off at night and the last thing I wanted to do was to keep the whole house up so we stayed at home. We had the folks and the Grants' over for dinner on the 4th. The 5th was lots of fun. Frances decided she didn't want to take a nap and at the end of over 3 hours of a stand off- I would have to say that this one went to Frances (Frances 1 and us 0) no nap. Luckily, the kid passed out at 6:30 because she was so tired. We did venture out to the pool for a quick swim and she did pee-pee on the potty so not a bad day. Totally forgot to mention that my little man is saying mama. I so earned this one. Frances said dada forever before she said mama. He is such a mama's boy so it is only fitting that he says mama.

Really

Really.. that was Rusty's reaction when I started ripping down the wallpaper in Thomas' bathroom. As you know, I just finished Frances', but no wallpaper had to go down. I really liked the wallpaper, but it was pealing at some of the corners. Dad came over today so I have my first assignments (like I said- I was just tearing down the wallpaper and really didn't know what I needed to do). I am going to paint the room and then frame a few pieces of the wallpaper (the previous owner left some) for the decoration for the room. It was Wendy's idea and I think it will look really cool. Here are some before and hopefully I will have some after pictures in the next two weeks.
