Biggin
Well James Crutchfield is finally here. He is such an adorable guy. I have some pics (he is in the transitional nursery to check some stuff out so the pics are behind the glass). He is a big dude ( 8 lbs 11 oz and 21 1/4 inches). Here is the cutie!!!!

Update
Ok, things have been pretty crazy. Sadly, I have lost on of the penguins in the front. The lights went out after a big rain (poor guy). We turned 30 on the 7th. Rusty and I went out to eat at Pricci with two of our friends because the four of us have our b-days within like two weeks. Little did we know the mess the rest of the week was going to bring after that. The weather change is never good and of course Frances started to get sick so I started extra medicine every four hours. We headed to the doctor on Sunday because she was coughing so much (not your usual cold cough, it is a dry cough that just doesn't stop). Anyway, none of the medicines were working well so off to the doctor again Monday. After another trip to the emergency room Monday night, she finally was better and got some sleep. T has a fever (hopefully it is teething), but it looks like he may have a little something else. Hopefully, his cough won't get any worse.
Today Ansley is hanging with us and I am taking a day off work to wait for Baby Crutchfield. It is slow going, but we should have a baby before the day is out.

Thanks Heather!!!
Alright, I was told my blog was boring and my friend made it really cute. Heather is an overachiever with twins who is way too creative. She takes those kids everywhere and makes us normal folks look like complete underachievers. Thanks heather for the awesome blog makeover!!
Pics of Thanksgiving etc
Alright, I have been kind of lazy, but here are a few pics of Thanksgiving.I finally got some pics of Annie Rees(I tried to keep Frances as far away as possible and I didn't want to get anywhere near her either since I am sure I am covered in germs from my two). We have (by we- I mean I) have been putting the Christmas decorations up. I was very patient and waited until the day after Thanksgiving to put the tree up (I can't carry the bottom piece of the tree up from the basement and Rusty warned me in advance that after the half marathon there was no way he was going to bring the tree up that night) :). We did buy a few things that light up to go in the yard (I always go shopping the day after Christmas for my decorations because things are so cheap- $5 for each of the things that light up). Dad came over and helped me put them on a timer (yes, I called the king of Christmas Decorations to help). Here you go....

you know you are cool...
Wow- you know you are cool when your mom calls you to tell you that New Kids On The Block are on tv. How old am I and what year is this????
Great Weekend
Thursday was out anniversary. Rusty and I went out to dinner at Stoney River we were leaving Friday morning for Kentucky so my folks just kept the kids (thanks a lot!! not only do they watch T during the week, they had him this weekend too). I went (was told that I had to go since we don't have the kids so no excuses) to swimming with Rusty on Friday ( I survived). Then we were off to Kentucky. When we got up to Lexington we went to the bookstores. We grabbed some pizza and watched some games. Our hotel room looked out onto the race track (on Saturday we could see some horses) it was pretty cool. We actually sat in seats (not up in the bleachers) so that was pretty cool (it really doesn't matter where you sit just being in Rupp is pretty cool). Luckily, the Cats played well and then we drove home. My folks had come over to our house to put the kids to sleep. Sunday we took it easy and Rusty went to the falcons game. Both kids have been coughing so hopefully that will be it and we can get them well this week. I am looking forward to the next few weeks (birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas). I am a little concerned that my tree will have a rough Christmas (Thomas is into everything and I am sure the ornaments will be what he will go for).

Annie Rees
I wish I had pictures, but I forgot my camera, but I wanted to give a shout out to my ninth niece. We just went down to the hospital to see Jean Ann and Whit's new baby, Annie Rees. She is 6lbs 1oz and is so little (especially because all I have to compare her to is our little ones who start out rock solid 8lbs 7oz and 8lbs 8oz). Anyway, she is a cutie! I will post pictures when we see her again in a few days. She has really cute little toes and fingers.

This week
This has been a pretty calm week. Thomas' ears seem to be a lot better (we are going back to the doctor, but just a quick check up to make sure his ears are fine). Frances has started coughing so I have started giving her extra treatments. Hopefully after one more night of waking her up every four hours, she will be back on track. Right now, I am just wondering where she gets all of her energy from (she has been singing upstairs for an hour). Thomas has now realized how to climb up the stairs to go down the slide in the playroom. He loves to walk behind the little car that mom and dad have. We also have a little pool that I put balls into that he loves to just take a dive in. He started making some awesome faces- I will try to get some photos. Frances has been doing great with the potty training. It hasn't been too long that she has been going to school with big girl panties (those who have kids can understand how exciting it is that she has gone #2 in the potty all week) awesome!!! Yep, these are the things that make me happy- how old am I?

Weekend
We started off Saturday with having folks over for bourbon and bacon and then to watch the games. Basically, a pretty typical weekend of watching football. Today, the kids and I skipped church to head up to see Nana. I used to be able to get up there quite a bit, but since t has been here it has been tough to make the hour trip up there, but they have both not been sick for like two weeks (except t's usual ear infection) so I decided we needed to head up there. They did a great job on the drive up. We got there and Thomas loved the walkers and wheel chairs. He was talking to everyone and making faces at everyone. Frances was hamming it up too. This one lady was was out visiting with us. She said her daughter had just died and she had the first doll she was ever given. She brought is out and Frances rocked the baby doll and burped the baby doll (she actually burped nana too). The lady was so excited watching Frances. Before we left, we walked Nana to the lunchroom to sit at her table (she also likes for the whole room to see the kids). I told Frances to wave to everyone and she ran up to a few of the ladies and gave them big hugs. I didn't think I was going to get her out of there- they loved it!

Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween. Rusty took Miss Frances out and Thomas and I sat on the front stairs (he had just started medicine for his ear infection and has been sick). I took pics from the front porch. The first stop a boy in a warewolf costume scared her and she was a little shy the rest of the night.
My sister was here to watch the tech/fsu game this weekend so we got to see her crew. Katherine, Lauren, Nick, Terri and Chris were up here. We hung out for a bit Friday, but like I said above T-was sick and barfing that day so we didn't get to hang out as much as I would have liked. Everyone was feeling better today so we went over to see everyone this morning. Terri, Lauren and Katherine did get to go to Frances' school of Friday to see her room (really at the parties all she wants to do is eat).

A day in the life..
I go to pick Frances up today and she is drawing with sidewalk chalk on one of her friends. I guess I was lucky because usually when she has sidewalk chalk, she draws on the floor and rolls on it. This is why I only rotate like 5 outfits for her school clothes. The child loves to paint and draw so she is always covered (she is also a true Grant and loves meal time). I asked her what she was going to be for Halloween and she said doodee. What more can I say.
T is very, very active. He loves to stand up. His new favorite toy at home is the bouncy seat. He stands up and bounces. Lovely. He has no fear and lets go sometimes. My favorite is when he pulls up on the coffee table. I can just see him busting it.
We had someone come in this weekend to take family photos. I should have the link by the end of the week, but is is one mom took. I also took Miss Frances to the pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins.

Here we go...
Ok, Frances showed some interest in potty training before Thomas was born, but I was the size of the good year blimp and so that was the last thing I wanted to deal with. As a result, we had to wait until Thomas was a little older and now it is time. she knows what is going on now so the question is now battle of wills- what can we find to bribe a 2 year old with. She will go a lot at school. When we are at home she will ask to go and then say watch me pee (and then say want to see it again and will point and go again). Anyway, her teacher said to bring her to school Monday in her big girl panties. We are having potty training boot camp this weekend.

Big Weekend for the Grants
So on Friday, Rusty was a rock star. His band played down at East Andrews, nothing like rolling down to East Andrews in a mini van. It just reminded me how old I am and how glad that I don't have to deal with that scene. We left after 1 (I know-look at us). We walked outside and couldn't hear, smelled of smoke, and we were so ready to be home. Luckily, the folks had the kids so we did get a little sleep in the morning. We recovered on Sat (the usual- football) and then Jean Ann watched the little people at her house for a little bit for us so we could head to Jason and Melissa (two nights out for us). Today, we went to church to watch dad preach. Hopefully, the kids will nap and then we will meet Christine and Bob for dinner. Big weekend!
I must say that T has had some awesome hair days. Here are just some of the photos. I love the curls!

This week and Mom's B-day
Frances had another issue this week. The doctor said there was something in the air because he had seen a lot of asthmatic folks. Luckily, I was able to catch it early and Frances never went into distress. She did cough a lot for most of Tuesday, but I had started the medicine so it looks like we may be getting this under control. Saturday we hung over at mom and dad's. We had a b-day dinner w/my sister and brother's families for mom. As you can tell, the kids love birthdays and were circling the cake. Frances does occasionally ask to go to the potty. It appears that miss attitude will go when she wants because it looks like she knows exactly what she is doing and it just depends if she feels like it.

Here is a video of them playing on Sunday morning (yes, she is kicking at him). He loves Frances. He loves everything about her- especially when she is yelling or knocking things over.

Officer Miller
We were hanging with Christine, Bob and Ansley to watch the three games on Saturday (GA, TCU and Kentucky) and were in for a little surprise. Jenny came over with her cop car (I can't believe we haven't received emails from our neighbors on this one). The girls loved the cop car! They were a little nervous by the flashing blue lights, but loved to play in the back of the car. If you need a little entertainment you can click on her blog on the right side of my blog and hear some great stories. FYI- (if you want the slideshow to be larger, just click on the slideshow and the pictures will get bigger).

Big Week
T-Bizzle is getting his two upper teeth. Frances had her first haircut at school (she has had them before, but it was more of a mullet cut). The kids also love playing in the playroom after bathtime and before bedtime. Rusty was helping T slide down the slide. He loved it and Frances joined him on the slide. T is really crawling. He loves to crawl from his room through Frances' Room (he is sitting by Frances' piggy bank) to Frances' Bathroom (he loves bath time!!).

North GA Fair
We went to the North GA Fair with Boo, Wildcat, Jean Ann, Whit, and Tucker. Here are a few pics as well as some misc pics.

Weekends at the Grant's
The "off season" is rough on us and we love when football (then basketball season) rolls around. If you need to find us Saturdays after 12- we are in the basement. The Golden Tee is ready to play and the tvs are on football. Rusty has given up part of the basement so we can have a kid play area (otherwise, some folks are upstairs watching kids and missing the games or the kids are running around in front of the tvs). People come in and out of the house all day (depending on nap schedules for the little people- or they bring a pack n play).

We are also in trouble now because T can pretty much get where ever he wants. He can go in circles, backwards, or throw himself forward. Awesome. He loves to pull out all the toys and books under the coffee table.

Stinkin' cute
Thomas has actually been taking a bath in his bathroom. I actually put him in his little robe and he looked so cute so I took some pics.
Recap-
Let's see- it is Wednesday and we have been to the doctor twice. Frances has a cold so we started extra breathing treatments Saturday. So far she is just coughing and not wheezing. Thomas has another ear infection. My little man is feeling a lot better now.
We did go to the Yellow River Ranch Saturday before we watched some football. The kids had a great time (by great time- I mean Frances was scared to death of the animals). The squirrels and chickens would run at you and she would just lift her legs up. It was pretty funny, but we had a good time. We had a picnic w/Ansley and Christine after in the car (Yep, I figured Frances had spent a lot of time out in the woods and did not need anymore quality time with pine straw). The girls had a blast.
